AK1 Maintain compliance with archaeological requirements

AK1.4 Enforce compliance with archaeological requirements

Performance Required

This will involve:

  1. inspecting sites in accordance with statutory and policy requirements and in response to actions initiated by others
  2. identifying, evaluating and summarising accurately potential breaches in compliance in accordance with statutory and policy requirements and notifying persons responsible
  3. where required, negotiating acceptable changes necessary to restore compliance, agreeing with persons responsible and recording accurately
  4. where required, giving appropriate advice on possible enforcement action to persons responsible for rectifying breaches of compliance
  5. implementing appropriate legal proceedings in serious cases of breach of compliance
  6. submitting clear and accurate evidence of breaches to appropriate authorities
  7. checking compliance with legal requirements and implementing further legal proceedings for situations which remain in default
  8. accurately recording and communicating satisfactory compliance to all interested parties
